Good Skiing Deal: Local Appreciation Day at Wolf Creek

2009 December 8
by David Schlichter

You’ve probably noticed that snow has blanketed Denver over the past couple days.  What you might not have noticed is that Wolf Creek is getting absolutely hammered with snow.  Over the last 72 hours (as of 3pm today), Wolf Creek has gotten a whopping 49 inches of fresh powder, and it should be getting a total of 8-12 inches more today.  It also just so happens that tomorrow (Wednesday) is Local Appreciation Day at Wolf Creek.  Lift tickets normally cost $52 dollars for adults, but tomorrow they will be $31.  If ever there is a time to go to Wolf Creek, tomorrow is the day to do it.  Just be sure to wear lots of warm clothes; the wind chill is expected to drop significantly below zero.

**12/9/09 UPDATE** The powder at Wolf Creek is incredibly Good.  It’s as deep as you can make it.  Below are two pics from today.  We probably won’t be able to get a new article up tomorrow–we’ll be shredding again…

In addition to articles on Good food, Good ideas, Good adventures, and more in and around the Denver region, we often post Good deals and Good events. The best way to ensure you don’t miss them is to not be a stranger: become our fan on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, and come back often!
