Good Denver Labor Day Weekend Events
If you aren’t heading to the mountains this Labor Day weekend, you might check out some of the Good Events below!
First Friday Art Walk (Friday): Every first Friday night of the month, more than 60 art galleries, studios, and restaurants in the Santa Fe Art District open their doors to guests for free shows and parties. Be sure to check out Battery621, where you’ll find Icelantic’s newest ski lineup.
ARTCRANK (Friday and Saturday): “A poster party for bike people,” the bicycle-themed art show will take place at Super Ordinary Gallery at 3126 Larimer St.
Three Nights of Phish (Friday, Saturday, Sunday): Phish is closing its summer tour with three days at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. Tickets are still available, though camping tickets are sold out.
A Taste of Colorado (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday): The annual festival in Civic Center Park features food, music, arts and crafts, and more.
Free Day at Denver Art Museum (Saturday): Target is sponsoring free days at the Denver Art Museum the first Saturday of every month. Right now, the museum has a “Marvelous Mud” exhibit, featuring clay pieces from around the world.
The Lumineers open for Chris Pureka at Mercury Cafe (Saturday): There are always those bands that you say, “I saw that band when they played for 20 people in a living room, and now they’re huge!” Watch out for the Lumineers to become that band…
Carlos Santana and George Lopez at Red Rocks (Saturday and Sunday): Standup comedy from George Lopez and legendary guitar skills from Carlos Santana, together at Red Rocks as the “Divine Rascals.”
Fireworks at Elitch Gardens (Sunday): Elitch Gardens will be putting on a fireworks “spectacular” on Sunday night. You can watch them from inside Elitch’s with a paid ticket–or you can just check out the sky above the amusement park at 9pm for free.
Have a Good weekend, and be safe!
